HAS ANYONE EVEN HEARD ABOUT THIS DEMONSTRATION? OR HAS IT PURPOSELY BEEN “HIDDEN”? Reprint   Leave a comment

HAS ANYONE EVEN HEARD ABOUT THIS DEMONSTRATION? OR HAS IT PURPOSELY BEEN “HIDDEN”? The following pictures and comments from protesters speaks volumes to the huge issues before the U.S. Citizens . Americans Stand Up Against Radical Islam in New York – We Will Not Submit! Not one major network sent a satellite truck or camera crew to this event. Without bloggers this newsworthy event would have remained unknown to the public and history On Sunday, June 6th, a multi-ethnic, multi-racial coalition of Americans opposed to Islamic violence and intolerance rallied at the site of the World Trade Center in New York City.

9/11 families were joined by immigrants from India, Russia, Egypt, Israel, Africa, Iran and Europe to show opposition to the construction of a mega-mosque at Ground Zero. Others flew in from overseas to speak or just to share their particular ethnic communities experiences at the hands of Muslims.

These are parents and spouses of firefighters killed on 9/11. The rally took place just a minutes walk from Ladder 10 Firehouse, where their loved ones were stationed for duty that terrible day. Ladder 10 lost seven firefighters.

Crowd estimates ranged from 5,000 (NYPD) to 10,000. The crowd overflowed the police barrier enclosures that ran the full length of two city blocks. This photo shows the enclosure in front of the stage at the intersection of Liberty and Church Streets. The second enclosure ran the length of the next block and can be seen on the other side of the traffic lights.

Thousands of additional participants filled the treed area of Zuccotti Park.

Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller are the founders of STOP ISLAMIZATION OF AMERICA, which sponsored the rally. Ms. Geller is a citizen journalist and blogger who runs the human rights web site Atlas Shrugs. Mr. Spencer is the author of several books on Islam and head of the influential web site Jihad watch. Pamela Geller: Ground Zero is a war memorial, Ground Zero is a burial ground. We are asking for sensitivity…It is unconscionable to build a shrine to the very ideology that inspired the jihadist attacks at Ground Zero, right there. We are asking the imam Rauf and Daisy Khan to be sensitive. For mutual respect and mutual understanding that is demanded of us every day. There’s a hair-trigger sensitivity in the Muslim world, you can’t run the cartoons, you can’t say Mohammed, this is offensive. This is an offensive mosque. To build a shrine, an Islamic flag of conquest on the sacred ground the cherished site, of a conquered land. This is historic, this is Islamic history. It’s what they do. The St. Sofia in Turkey, the al-Quds, at the holiest Jewish site in Israel. Not here. This is where we take a stand. We must take a stand. We must say no. I do not believe that the landmarks commission controlled by Mayor Bloomberg, is going to stop this mosque. It’s not going to happen. Here’s Omar Muhamedi, on his human rights council, a CAIR lawyer, who sued the airlines and the Jane and John Does that saw something and said something on those airplanes, if you remember. That’s who’s on his human rights commission. It ain’t gonna happen with Bloomberg. We have to make it happen. You have to get involved. (Pamela Geller)

Police enclosure on left, with crowd flowing out of park on right. The new Tower 7 and World Trade Center site are in the background. The green tent, center, is located immediately behind the stage.

Port Authority and NYPD officers kept watch over the rally and were well aware of the need for heightened security at this event. One of their own Port Authority officers, WTC Sergeant Alan T. De Vona was on duty at the World Trade Center on 9/11, 2001, and was one of the first to help victims of the terrorist attack. He spoke these words to the SIOA rally: It’s almost nine years. I’m hoping that America is watching. I’m hoping that America is remembering. Because, make no mistake. September 11 was an act of war. And thank the military that has lost almost 5,000 troops from that day, defending us. I don’t know what to say to jar America’s memory. I want America to remember.

Port Authority Police and FDNY firefighters are seen here gathered beneath this banner.

The issues at stake will certainly affect the heart of American freedom, democracy, cultural values and tolerance. America is a tolerant country that allows for the free worship of all its citizens. But our tolerance has limits. Do we have to tolerate intolerant Islamic ideology and Muslims who preach intolerant Islam?

Hindu human rights activists Narain Kataria, Prasad Yalamanchi and unidentified friend came from Mississippi and Chicago with banners and flyers highlighting the radical statements of imam Rauf and his jihadist roots.

Stephen Dyer and Gary Jules journalism students at York College, with Pamela Geller. Not one major network sent a satellite truck or camera crew to this event. Without bloggers this newsworthy event would have remained unknown to the public and history.

Pamela Geller is greeted by Hindu human rights activists Prasad Yalamanchi and Narain Kataria.

Bhupinder Singh Bhurji, Pamela Geller, and Robert Spencer. Singh Bhurji is the president of the NAMDHARI SIKH FOUNDATION. The foundation is a member of the Human Rights Coalition Against Radical Islam (HRCARI). HRCARI is a coalition of Hindus, Sikhs, Christians from Sudan, Egypt and Iraq, moderate Muslims and Jews — who are victims and targets of radical Islam around the globe. He said, at another rally: Radical Islamists are killing people in India, trying to dominate that nation. And here too they come with violence against infidels. We are infidels united, standing together, brown, black and white, against this epoch’s fascist movement. Radical Islam wants to dominate entire world. They want everyone to surrender. Islam radical or otherwise. They want to put the Islamic flag on White House.

Because of Islamic terrorism, America and the world have seen massive new security measures become a way of life. Anyone openly critical of Islam, or terrorist ideology, must surround themselves with security, or live in hiding. Those courageous enough to confront Islamism are criticized by the cowards and appeasers of the left who seek safety by supporting the enemy. Moderate Muslims were silent when Theo van Gogh was brutally murdered in Amsterdam, just as moderate Muslims in the United States are generally reluctant to speak out against violent Islam. Moderate Muslims also face great danger in speaking out. Geller and Spencer will press on despite the danger. They hope to inspire Americans to stand up and say enough of political correctness and work to stem the galloping islamization of America and Europe.

Do you understand why Obama wants to control the internet now?

Some facts on the Health care bill passed by the House. There is no question that intentions are to do away with the cost of elderly care by encouraging seniors to end their life. It shows members do not read the bills since many of them would be included in this requirement, IF they put themselves into this system. No wonder the Senate voted not to require they be enrolled in the gov. health care…

Health plan provision demands ‘end-of-life’ counseling

Source: www.wnd.com

The version of President Obama’s universal health care plan that is pending in the U.S. House would require end-of-life counseling for seniors, and the former lieutenant governor for the state of New York is warning people to protect their parents read more…

We need reform, but this is not what we signed up for. Logical/Simple reform that our Congress could read would be a 1st step.

How about a new computer system to track, medicare and medicaid claims, something along the lines of transaction based tracking of credit cards. Red flags would sound if a doctor tried to claim the same test for the same patient more than once, or if more than four claims were submitted for the same patient in one day. Catching the fraud would probably make these two programs solvent, good start?

How about providing a private insurance policy for those who qualify by income, thus keeping gov. out of our health care, while providing service for those who cannot afford it and reducing the cost of uninsured emergency room visits and unpaid hosp. bills?

We spend a fortune on gov. bureaucracy instead of demanding they be accountable for following best practices. We expect more restraint from a bakery than we do from our government. I say NO MORE…

How can this be allowed to happen in our country?

Ohio.com – Akron police investigate teen mob attack on family

Do we need hate crime legislation or do we just need to uphold the laws we already have? In my opinion this was a classic hate crime, but I also think it is a good example of why we do not need hate crime legislation. This is a crime and should be prosecuted to the max, these boys should be punished for what they have done and a part of that should be education on the reality of  human life not being defined by race, gender etc. There is no need to pass legislation to punish these crimes, they are already criminal and prove hate goes both ways. Those perpetrating these crimes are whomever feels empowered, vilolent crime doesn’t discriminate…

Promises, Promises:   Leave a comment

PROMISES, PROMISES: Obama tax pledge unrealistic read the AP story outlining the reality of taxation based on promises made…

My opinion:

This is exactly what happens when we play class warfare! Obama was just going to get those filthy rich people, no one cared as long as it wasn’t them and voted this monster of a President into office. Then comes the day of reckoning, as they say “what goes around, comes around”  Now people are crying foul!

Whenever we are OK with another group of people being treated unfairly it always comes back to bite us in the ass. Why should rich people fell sorry for the poor or middle class after these same people screamed for government to take away their money? I guess now we need to hope that the rich are more merciful and kinder when making laws that might take away what little those of us who are not rich have. Do you think  they will treat us more fairly than they were treated? Pay back really is a witch …

Prepared for: National Black Chamber of Commerce Impact on the Economy of the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 (H.R.2454)   3 comments

This report was prepared for the National Black Chamber of Commerce and still Dems are voting for it, along with a few Repub. How much Common Sense does that make? Here are a couple of examples of what is in the study…

This finding takes into account jobs created and still finds we lose 2.5 Million Jobs…

2nd Image depicts spending power that will be lost, reading the report spending power lost will not only be due to higher prices, but loss in wages.

I recommend looking at the report and arming yourself with facts to back up your demand for Senators to vote no on this bill.

Bill to make Mailing Tobacco Products Illegal   2 comments

Keep track of this Bills Progress: click in the story…

l

*** TIME IS RUNNING OUT! ***

Your Senators will be voting shortly to make ALL TOBACCO PRODUCTS NON-MAILABLE!!!

THE SITUATION: Right now there is legislation pending in the United States Senate – the Prevent All Cigarette Trafficking Act of 2009 (“PACT Act”) (S.1147) which contains, among other bad ideas, a provision to make ALL cigarettes and smokeless tobacco products nonmailable. This legislation has already been passed by the House of Representatives and is currently in a Senate Committee that could send it to the Senate floor at any time for a vote!

WHAT THIS MEANS TO YOU: By making all cigarettes and smokeless tobacco products nonmailable, the Senate is ensuring you will no longer be able to purchase these products by mail-order, telephone order, or over the Internet because the United States Postal Service, along with UPS, Fed-Ex and all other carriers, will be prohibited by law from delivering your orders to you. Taking away your options means forcing you back to buying over-priced tobacco products from your local retailer once again.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP: Native American cigarette and tobacco sellers are committed to doing everything we can to stop the PACT Act, but we need your help. Your Senators work for you and as their constituents, it is your voice and your vote that counts!

WHAT YOU CAN DO: Contact your Senators and tell them not to pass the PACT Act. Your Senators should be protecting your interests, but it is up to you to let them know what you think about the PACT Act. There are three easy ways to contact your Senators – by telephone, email, or regular mail – all of which are explained below. Every state has two Senators – please remember to contact BOTH Senators for your state. At this point time is crucial, so a phone call is by far the best means to use.

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO EXPRESS YOUR OPINION: As an American Citizen, it is your right to let your Senators know how you feel about any action Congress takes. You elected your Senators to represent you and they can only do this if you tell them what you want. When you contact your Senator you do not need to identify yourself as a smoker or as someone who purchases cigarettes and/or smokeless tobacco products by mail-order, telephone-order, and/or the Internet. You only need to identify yourself as a resident of the state they represent.
SOME CONCERNS ABOUT THE PACT ACT TO DISCUSS WITH YOUR SENATORS:

THE POSTAL SERVICE: The price of stamps is being raised practically every year. The PACT Act will take an entire class of legal, non-hazardous goods and make them nonmailable. What this means is a huge loss of business (potentially hundreds of millions of dollars) for the Postal Service. Will they continue to raise the price of stamps and other mail services to compensate for their lost income? The United States Postal Service is already suffering a fiscal crisis due to the downturn in the economy. If the PACT Act is passed and millions of dollars of revenue are taken away, there could be serious consequences for consumers, including reducing the number of delivery days from 6 per week down to 5 or perhaps only 4 days per week.

COST: When the PACT Act of 2003 (S.1177) passed the Senate, the Congressional Budget Office prepared a Cost Estimate for the Bill. The Congressional Budget Office estimated that the PACT Act of 2003 would cost about $140 MILLION over the 2004-2008 period to enforce. $140 Million over four years – and that estimate is already six years old. How much will the PACT Act of 2009 cost to enforce? Isn’t there a better way to spend our tax dollars?
TWO IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER WHEN COMMUNICATING WITH YOUR SENATORS:

1. Tell your Senators that you are one of their constituents and provide an address so they know where in the state you are from. Since anyone can contact a Senator, it is important that you let your Senators know that you live and vote in their home state. Because the Senators receive so much mail, mail from their constituents always takes priority.

2. Make it clear to your Senators that you DO NOT want them to pass the PACT Act of 2009 (S.1147). Let your Senators know that if they don’t support you – you won’t support them.

HOW TO CONTACT YOUR SENATORS:

TELEPHONE: You can directly dial your Senators office using the number shown for them above, or you can dial 1-202-224-3121 (this is a toll call, there is no toll-free number to Congress) to be connected with a Capitol Switchboard Operator. Simply ask the Operator to connect you with your Senators Office. Time is crucial at this point, so a phone call is by far the best choice for contacting your Senators.

EMAIL: Simply go to each of your two Senators websites shown above and find the Senators contact form. Fill in the required information, type your message and click the “Send” button.

REGULAR MAIL: Send a letter to your Senator at their LOCAL offices nearest you. You can find the addresses for local offices on the Senators’ websites or by looking in your telephone book’s government section. It is important that you send your letter to your Senators’ local office since mail often takes months to reach a Senator’s Washington, DC office due to increased security at the Capitol.

EVERY TELEPHONE CALL, EMAIL AND LETTER MAKES A DIFFERENCE.
YOUR SENATORS NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU ON THIS IMPORTANT ISSUE!

American People can handle more than one view   Leave a comment

Next week, ABC is teaming up with Obama to produce a prime-time “town hall” on health care reform at the White House, featuring special programming on all its broadcasts.

ABC News defended its decision to hold its health care reform special, releasing a statement saying: “ABC News will have complete editorial control. To suggest otherwise is quite unfair to both our journalists and our audience.”

Can anyone explain to me, how this will benefit the American people? I am interested to hear “specifics” on what President Obama plans for the health care bill, however, I also want to hear from others on alternative measures. Without a balance the President is just trying to sell me something. The American people are intelligent and have the ability to discern good ideas from not so good. So why are we being forced to accept the Presidents opinion and ABC’s editing as gospel? This would be a much more effective and beneficial special if there were opposing views/ideas so we could make up our minds for ourselves.

What do you think?
